Common crane symptoms
Report slow or jerky boom movement, a lift that will not hold or lower, hydraulic oil around hoses or cylinders, intermittent controls, abnormal pump noise, a tripped breaker, or visible movement at the base or mounting. Keep people clear and do not test the crane with a load when a fault is suspected.
A safe diagnostic sequence
Assessment starts with the crane make and model, operating history and a visual check of accessible hoses, fittings and structure. Electrical supply and controls, hydraulic condition and load-holding behaviour are considered by a qualified person under safe conditions. Structural cracks or uncontrolled movement require the crane to remain out of service.
Information for a useful first review
Send the yacht’s location, crane model and serial number if available, rated capacity shown on its plate, the exact movement affected, any alarm or fault code, and photos of the unit, controls and visible leak. Hide personal details and vessel registration identifiers in shared images.
Local service limits
On-site work is focused on Bodrum, Turgutreis, Yalıkavak and Milas and depends on access, risk controls and schedule. Other Muğla locations, Göcek, Didim, Çeşme and international requests are considered for coordination on request, not represented as permanent field coverage.
Can a yacht crane be tested while carrying a tender?
Do not test a crane with a load when a fault is suspected. Secure the area and have the equipment assessed under a safe, controlled procedure before returning it to service.
